Goodbye Kagoshima + continuing the adventure!

David

I am sad that the day has finally come and we are due to leave Kagoshima tomorrow morning!

I have really enjoyed this beautiful city. The people are so friendly and down to earth (idiom), the natural landscape is beautiful, the local cats are so loving and their company has been greatly appreciated whilst I do my exercises, and of course - the mighty 'Sakurajima' is always in sight, reminding us all of the magnitude of nature and how we must learn to live in harmony with it rather than against it.

Tomorrow morning we will be heading out to 'Yakushima' island. I have heard from some friends in Japan and also many students that this is a 'powerful' island!

I have even been told that if you feel sick or unwell and visit Yakushima, you will instantly feel much better or more 元気!(genki!)

I am very excited to visit Yakushima, as I have heard many incredible things and seen many wonderful pictures of this island. Some of the things I am looking forward to most during our short time there are practicing my underwater photography during scuba diving with an expert native nature photographer, and also visiting the forest which inspired the classic anime film - Princess Mononoke!

Goodbye Kagoshima.

You will be missed!
