Do you know your transition words?

Lady Ayame

Dear Cafetalk Community,

After talking to many students, I noticed that the use of "transition words" contribute to the English-speaker sounding fluent. Using these words (or phrases) that connect one thought to another helps with the comprehension of the communication. It signifies that you have completed a thought and you are moving on to another subject. Also, using these transition words help create good sentence structures when speaking. I highly recommend these "transition phrases" so that you can move fluidly from one topic to another, as well as help make you sound more intelligent.

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you that I experienced first hand, how well these "transition words" work into your conversation. Why not give it a try? It's not that hard to start a sentence with "transition" words, like "Recently," "Unfortunately," "First," "Then," etc. I hope they work for you!

If you want to learn more about mastering the English language, please consider me as your English tutor. It would be great to meet you and work with you! Hope to see you soon!

Warmest regards,

Lady Ayame
