The lesson starts with interesting facts such as "there are as many bacterial cells in our body as human cells" and a description of key terms used in the lesson including intestine, bacteria, microbiota and digestion.
I will explain how the gut bacteria benefit us and discuss what can happen when this goes wrong. I then introduce interesting new research at the cutting edge science.
This lesson is informal in style with many opportunities to ask questions and discuss interesting points.
