Learn Tagalog for your Philippines trip 🌴

Kumusta! I'm Tess, a native Filipino teacher from the Philippines. I have a TEFL certification and I'm known for being friendly and patient. I'll help you learn easy, useful Tagalog (Filipino) so you can enjoy your trip, talk with locals, and feel more confident.

No experience needed. Even a few words will make Filipinos smile!

What you will learn

  • Greetings and polite words (Kumusta, Salamat, Po and Opo)
  • Introducing yourself
  • Ordering food and drinks in restaurants
  • Shopping, asking "How much?" (Magkano?), and friendly bargaining
  • Riding a jeepney, tricycle, taxi, or Grab
  • Asking for directions and finding the bathroom
  • Numbers, time, and money
  • Hotel and tourist spot phrases
  • Emergency and helpful phrases
  • Friendly small talk with locals
  • Filipino culture and manners, so you feel comfortable

  • Tell me where you're going, and I'll plan the lesson around your trip
