Young children have an exceptional ability to absorb new languages more quickly than teenagers or adults. For this reason, it is highly beneficial to introduce language learning from an early age. In this program, I’ve thoughtfully combined storytelling, hands-on activities, and language exploration to create a learning experience that is both enjoyable and effective. Through this interactive approach, children naturally develop their English skills while having fun and expressing their creativity.
Children can relate to stories in English, whether it’s their first language or not. Stories provide a memorable context in which new language can be understood and acquired and also generate opportunities for children to express their thoughts and feelings as they build their understanding of the world.
English Through Songs (25 mins)
Children listen, sing and dance along to popular songs. Songs are a fantastic way for children to acquire a language. Not only are they memorable, but they also encourage the acquisition of contextualized chunks and most importantly, they’re FUN!
Cartoons are hilarious, colorful and all-around awesome. Children can practice their English, learn new vocab and have fun!
Cartoons characters enunciate clearly, focus on social interactions, use words that are simple enough for low-level english….A perfectly fun way to learn!
It is important to get children to pay attention and listen. Crafts full of fun interactive activities create opportunities for language acquisition and learning. Children of all ages love to create things. Explaining how to construct a craft is an enjoyable experience and kids have to listen carefully in order to learn how to do it properly.
Kids will use their imagination, creativity, motor skills..the conversation becomes spontaneous. They develop confidence, self-esteem, cooperative work, listening skills and visual observation.
Kids will first start learning the individual letters, which is decoding, then blend them into different sounds, and say it out loud. They will also begin to learn to write these letters, that’s encoding or spelling.
*All lessons are customized by age range.
I would recommend a tablet for these classes, but not mandatory.
Each lesson will last about 20-25 mins. *Additional time can be requested.
