    • “Have you had any meetings or presentations this week?”
  • Teach small talk techniquesin business settings:
    • Talking about the weather, weekend plans, or company events.
    • Using polite phrases: “It’s nice to meet you,” “I hope you’re having a great day.”
  • Encourage natural responses (instead of “yes” or “no” answers).

🔹 Correction & Feedback:

  • Correct pronunciation errors subtly.
  • Encourage use of complete sentences.

2. Business Vocabulary & Key Phrases (10 minutes)

📌 Objective: Introduce and practice essential business vocabulary and expressions.

🔹 Vocabulary Focus (Customized to Student’s Work Field if Possible)

  1. Workplace Communication
    • “Let’s schedule a meeting.”
    • “I’ll follow up on that.”
    • “Can we discuss this in more detail?”
  2. Polite Requests & Professional Tone
    • “Would it be possible to…”
    • “Could you clarify that for me?”
    • “I appreciate your help.”
  3. Common Business Idioms & Expressions
    • “Let’s touch base later.” (Follow up later)
    • “We’re on the same page.” (We agree)
    • “This project is a top priority.” (Most important task)

🔹 Activity:

  • Drill practice – Student repeats phrases and uses them in a short sentence.
  • Sentence completion– Give student a sentence with a missing word. Example:
    • “Let’s ____ (schedule/plan/arrange) a meeting next week.”
  • Real-life application – Ask: “Can you use ‘touch base’ in a sentence?”

  • Focus on pronunciation and natural intonation.

3. Business Role-Play & Practical Speaking Practice (15 minutes)

  1. Introducing Yourself in a Business Meeting

    • Practice a self-introduction including job title, responsibilities, and company background.

    • Challenge: Expand the introduction with more details.
  2. Making a Professional Phone Call

    • Practice a business phone call (customer inquiry, setting a meeting, or reporting an issue).

  3. Giving a Short Business Presentation

    • Student explains a simple business topic (e.g., their role, a recent project).

  1. 1-Minute Challenge

    • Student speaks for 1 minuteon a simple business-related topic:
      • Example: “Describe your daily work routine.”
    • Focus on continuous speaking without long pauses.
  2. Quick Question & Answer Drill

    • Ask rapid business-related questions:
      • “How do you handle a difficult client?”
      • “What’s an important skill for business success?”
    • Student answers in complete sentences.

  • Encourage clear pronunciation and natural pauses.
  • Suggest better vocabulary choices if needed.

5. Lesson Recap & Homework (5 minutes)
