Enjoy a classic story while you improve your English! In this lesson, we read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett in a simplified version for learners at level A2-B1. We use clear slides, so the text and new words are easy to follow.

How the lesson works:

  1. I read each slide aloud first, so you can hear the pronunciation and rhythm.
  2. Then you read the same slide aloud, and I help you gently with any difficult words.
  3. We learn new vocabulary together, with simple explanations.
  4. We check understanding with short questions, and you retell the story in your own words.

This lesson helps you with pronunciation, reading aloud, vocabulary and speaking, and it follows the story chapter by chapter. You can book a single lesson or continue with the next chapters.

Who this lesson is for
Learners at A2-B1 level who enjoy stories and want to practise reading aloud, pronunciation and speaking in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

What you need
Nothing to prepare. The slides will be shown on screen during the lesson.

Note for the description: The story is a simplified retelling of a public domain novel, so there are no copyright concerns about the text.
