II. Grammar Focus in Conversation or Writing
We’ll spend this lesson concentrating on a particular point of grammar. We’ll go over how the grammar works and then practise it. We can practise it in conversation, where you’ll get the chance to use it more informally. We can also practise it in more formal writing.
Typical grammar topics include:
- Articles
- Irregular Plurals
- One of the Modal Verbs (can-could, may-might, must, etc.)
- Object Pronouns (me, him, her, them etc.)
- Subject-Verb Agreement
- Phrasal Verbs
- Questions
- Prepositions
- Relative Clauses and the Relative Pronoun who-whom
- Other Subordinate Clauses
- A Particular Verb Tense (Progressive, Perfect, Future, Past, Conditional)
- The Passive Voice
- Abbreviations
