Lesson script

  • Improve fluency and confidence in speaking

  • Develop strategies to answer IELTS/TOEFL-style questions

  • Enhance pronunciation, coherence, and vocabulary

Ask a simple question to ease the student into speaking:"Can you introduce yourself in 1-2 minutes?"

  • "Tell me about your daily routine."

2.Speaking task-practice question Choose based on student’s exam focus:

IELTS Part 1 (Personal Questions)
"Do you prefer to study in the morning or at night?"
"What kind of food do you like to eat?"


IELTS Part 2 (Cue Card – Long Answer)

  • Describe a time when you helped someone. You should say:

    • Who the person was;

    • What you did;

    • How the person felt;

    • And explain how you felt about it.

TOEFL Independent Task (Opinion-Based)

  • "Some people prefer to live in a big city, while others prefer the countryside. Which do you prefer and why?"

TOEFL Integrated Task (Summarizing a Lecture/Reading)

  • Read a short passage or summarize a situation. Ask the student to give a response.

3. Feedback & Improvement 

✅ Highlight strengths (fluency, vocabulary, structure).
✅ Give targeted corrections (grammar, pronunciation, coherence).
✅ Provide an example of a strong answer if needed.

Example:
Student: "I help my friend because she need to move house, and I carry box."
Correction: "I helped my friend move houses by carrying boxes."

4. Wrap-up & Homework
Homework (Optional): Write a response to another IELTS/TOEFL question and bring it to the next lesson.
