Description

Are you a fan of all things related to the First World War?  If so, this lesson is just for you!  Here you can have discussions in English on the birth of modern warfare, the appearance of new weaponry, and the changing experience of war.  You can also explore the story of the famous Salvation Army doughnut girls, who actually went to the front lines to make the tasty treat for soldiers taking part in the fighting.  In the United States, they are remembered each year with the celebration of National Doughnut Day, which takes place on the first Friday in June.  Without the Great War, doughnuts would not be as popular as they are today!

As World War I spread across the globe, many nations were involved in the conflict, including Japan.  If you want to learn more about it, and improve your English skills, I look forward to teaching you soon!
