Reading practice:
This course is designed to adapt to your needs as a reader. Reading helps to improve your fluency, writing, and listening, and expand your vocabulary. And it’s FUN! So, reading helps the other areas of your language learning.
Reading in a second language can be tough. It doesn’t feel the same as reading in your native language. The best way to achieve this is to develop good habits, and there are many ways to build and keep your English reading abilities. We can develop a reading program together that is not too hard and not too easy.
In a typical lesson, we might read the news together in a comprehensive way which incorporates vocabulary lists, exercises and video components. We will try to understand the story from all sides, and then the student can share and express their opinions and thoughts about the reading, and compare it to something in their home culture or language, and how it is different or similar.
