Milo was our fourth cat, a Munchkin breed, who passed away in 2015 due to an illness. 

My husband and I have had two Himalayan cats, one Persian and three Munchkin cats so far in Japan. We lost our first Munchkin cat last year and right now we only have two Munchkins. My two Himalayan cats had twelve kittens and my husband and I took care of them before giving them away.

Based on more than 10 years' experience of having pet cats in Japan, I will give you tips, especially to beginners, on how to start having a cat or for you and your indoor pet cats to have a better life together. 
  • What kind of house/apartment to live in
  • What kind of furniture to have or to avoid
  • Types of toys
  • How to play with your cats
  • Types of cat litter
  • How to know your cat is not feeling well
  • How to choose cat food etc.
Please take note again that these tips are only based on my experience and what I have been told by my vet.
