This Lesson focuses on improving comprehension and understanding HIP HOP/RAP/R&B Lyrics, creating your own original responses with new words and phrases that you learn from the lyrics and expressiong your thoughts on the lyrics.
Benefit : Quite often, Idioms and Phrasal verbs are used within lyrics and being knowledgable about the words and phrases used within music allows you to connect and relate to others from a different background or culture.
Format of the lesson
Step 1.
The material used within the lesson will be the lyrics of a song, of your choice. (Before scheduling a lesson, you would pick a song and email me your choice of song.)

- Disrespect will not be disregarded partna = I will not allow you to treat me badly/ I will not forget or forgive people who do bad things to me.

- Tote tools on the boulevard = I keep guns awith me, when I am in public, outside of my house, walking or driving down city streets.
- Bossed up in a cool whip with a hot gat = I look nice, in a good looking car, and I have an illegal gun with me.
Step 3
Follow up Questions and answers using the new words and phrases from the lyrics. (Using conversation, to feel more comfortable with the new phrases and words you have acquired from the lyrics.)
