You start with a simple explanation, then take part in an interactive activity where you choose which expressions are not appropriate in professional communication and explain your choices. For example, you compare words like chairperson, chair, and chairman and decide which is most suitable for modern business use.

Next, you share your own ideas and real workplace experiences, and discuss how language can affect respect, tone, and communication at work.

Finally, you have a short discussion about whether inclusive language is used in your company and how important it is in today’s workplace.
