레슨 상세 내용
Are you planning to study in Canada—or another English-speaking country?
Many students spend years working hard on English exams, but test scores alone won’t prepare you for the challenges and opportunities of life abroad.
In this short, interactive class, you’ll explore what it really takes to succeed when living and studying overseas. Together, we’ll look at everyday skills, cultural differences, and the mindset needed to thrive outside the classroom. Through discussion and real-life scenarios, you’ll start to think about situations like cooking for yourself, joining social events, asking for help when you need it, and handling culture shock.
By the end, you’ll see that while English is important, your confidence, adaptability, and life skills are just as essential. This is your first step in preparing for an exciting—and realistic—study abroad journey.
What to expect:
- Our first conversation will focus on you—your reasons for going abroad, your goals, how long you’ll stay, and your living situation.
-
Any following conversations or meetings will target specific areas of preparation, customized to your needs.
-
If you are already abroad and struggling, we can also work together to find strategies and support.
Who’s teaching this class:
I have spent the past six years helping international students adjust to life in Canadian high schools. I have also worked with university students, parents, and families, guiding them through the unique challenges of living and learning abroad. This is not only my professional work—I’ve personally lived overseas and understand the struggles, so I know both sides of the experience. My goal is to help you feel prepared, supported, and confident as you begin your own journey.
Who should join: Students or parents of students planning to study in Canada who want to prepare for more than just language tests.
