■Lesson Details
Each lesson is 50 minutes long.
We will be using the first book of this popular series, focusing on improving oral communication skills in a short amount of time. This series is split into 5 levels: Threshold (1, 2), Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Advanced.
The first book of the Threshold Edition has 15 chapters. Chapters 1-5 cover pronunciation (pinyin and tones), and chapters 6-15 are the main part of the textbook, covering the most commonly used vocabulary words, sentence patterns, and grammar points. This textbook is for absolute beginners.
The second book is contains chapters 16-30. You can learn common vocabulary, sentence patterns, and grammar points as you work on the wealth of exercises that the textbook provides. Each chapter consists of vocabulary, a main text, annotations, grammar, and practice.
Once you complete both of the Threshold books, you should be able to reach level 3 of the HSK or level 4 of the Chinese Kentei.
