There are a lot of free websites for English stories, but it can be helpful to have support when just starting out.

Goals of the Lesson:

Goals of the Lesson:
- To increase confidence when reading stories in English
- To practice sight-reading new words
- To learn proper intonation while reading
- Reading comprehension
In each lesson a story will be chosen for students to practice reading and discussing. First we will go through key vocabulary and meanings. Next the student is encouraged to read the story. After the student will be asked questions about the story and be given feedback. Lastly the student will have a second opportunity to read the story to implement the feedback. Along with each lesson I will provide some of the best sites I know for finding short stories to practice reading in English. This way students can practice reading in and outside of class.
