Common at-home medicine and terminology to use in English
Detalles de la lección
This is not for advanced medical professionals (doctors, nurses, etc).
This is simple and very basic medical terminology relating to the body and common, at-home medicines the average person might have in his/her medicine cabinet or, common medicines anyone can buy at the drug store.
This is a helpful lesson for anyone who wants to have a broader scope of English who might want to understand common medical needs and remedies. Here are some ways this lesson might help you:
1. If you want to ask about how someone is feeling and they describe symptoms, you can offer basic suggestions or ideas.
2. You can better describe in English your own symptoms and possible medicines you have tried to help yourself.
The main points we will cover:
- Go over some basic medicines that many Americans own in their home. I will even show you what we use so you can have a visual to recognize.
- Talk about basic symptoms many people experience.
- Go over how you might talk to an English-speaking doctor if you need to, and what questions they might ask you.
AGAIN: NOT for medical professionals! I am NOT a doctor or a nurse. I am teaching very basic and commonly used medical terms and parts of the body.
