In the global business world, it’s not just about what you say, but how you say it. Many professionals have the vocabulary, but lack the "polish"—the subtle shift in tone that turns a direct request into a persuasive proposal, or a standard update into a leadership moment.

In this intensive 30-minute session, we move past textbook English to focus on Strategic Communication. As an educator with an MA in TESOL and over a decade of experience, I provide the targeted feedback you need to sound authoritative, polite, and culturally savvy in any corporate environment.

Focus Topics (Choose one per session)

  • The Power Minute: Master the art of the "Elevator Pitch" and professional introductions.

  • Softening the Blow: How to give feedback, disagree, or say "no" politely without losing authority.

  • The Digital Edge: Polishing your emails and Slack/Teams messages for brevity and professionalism.

  • Active Meeting Participation: Phrases for interrupting, clarifying, and summarizing in fast-paced global calls.

  • Humanizing the AI: How to use AI tools (like ChatGPT) as a base, then apply a "human touch" for a more authentic, professional voice.

Skills & Methodologies

  • The "Nuance Scale": We will analyze specific phrases and rank them from "Too Casual" to "Perfectly Professional."

  • Simulated Scenarios: Brief, high-pressure roleplays (e.g., "The 3-minute project update").

  • Immediate Feedback Loop: I use a shared Google Doc or the CafeTalk chat to provide real-time corrections on your phrasing and intonation.

  • Vocab Optimization: Trading common "textbook" words for high-value corporate terminology.
