This lesson teaches the use of the past simple to talk about past events, in this case a story of a robbery.The story is shown in pictures with a guided exercise beside it.
The class begins with a game of volleyball (simplified) to review the past forms of the verbs in the story. The verbs are: stop, get, have, hold, throw. smash, take, put, happen stand, watch, jump, drive, run, and call.
YOu will then look at the picture story and describes the action in each picture. Next, you will do an exercise which describes the story.
The final step is to tell the story without looking at the exercise.
The lesson ends with you telling a story about something from your life.
