Step back in time to meet Hatshepsut: one of Ancient Egypt’s most remarkable rulers.

In this lesson, you will practice your reading, pronounciation, and speaking skills as we explore the fascinating life of one of history’s earliest and most successful female rulers.

We will discuss:
  • How Hatshepsut became pharaoh (not queen!) in a world ruled by men
  • Her most famous achievements and monuments
  • How and why later rulers tried to erase her name from history

You'll also learn and practice vocabulary related to leadership, legacy, and history.

This is a great lesson for intermediate or advanced learners who are interesetd in strong female figures, world history and culture, or simply want to improve their English through untradtional and engaging material.
