Unsure of what to study, try this lesson, which will help you to engage with a number of different reading, writing, listening and conversational activities.

Pick and Choose
What do you want to focus on during this lesson? If you have attended my 'Kickstart your English' introductory class, I will already have an idea of what you are finding difficult with your English studies. If not, I will ask you which of these following topics you want to choose (you can only choose two please).
Reading - We will look at a fictional text, which will be appropriate to your level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). After reading it through twice aloud, we will go through some comprehension questions to see what you have understood. There will also be some grammar activities and questions afterwards, if time allows. (25 mins approx)
Writing - Pick from the following writing tasks: how to write an email, writing a letter, writing a text message or a status on social media, creating a presentation for a business pitch or presentation. Once you have chosen one of the above, we will look at the structure of the topic from above. Afterwards, I will ask you to write your own piece of writing based on what we have covered. (25 mins approx)
Listening - Listen to a piece of dialogue chosen according to your level. As always, we will listen to this twice to give you a chance to understand the material. Are there any words or vocabulary you don't understand. Comprehension questions will be covered at the end. (25 mins approx)
Conversation - Pick a topic that you would like to talk about and we will develop a conversation together naturally. After the first 15 mins, I will look at any common mistakes you may have made and we will then concentrate on improving these.
Please Note: I will always assess your level to begin with and use the class materials that I feel will be best for you. If you feel that any of the materials are too easy or too hard, please let me know and we can change them. If you have not previously taken my 'Introductory Class', I would recommend that you do this first before taking this class.
