Articles and how we use them
Kursinhalt
5 minutes: Welcoming student and brief warm-up discussion about their day. Introduce the topic for the lesson and template for lesson. (Remind students on vowels and consonants, and types of nouns with students if need be.)
15 minutes: Explain the difference between definite article (the) and indefinite articles (A, an). Explain how each group of articles function using examples in sentences. More time will have to be spent on definite articles as they are trickier to understand.
15 minutes: Go through some excercises on articles with the student to ensure they understand what they have learnt and can practice using them. Use fill-in sentences, multiple choice and practical conversion to practice articles.
5 minutes: Final questions and wrap up lesson. Provide positive feedback and gentle corrections if needed.
