Let's discuss artists who explore writing and text.

Interested in art and language? Let's have a discussion about artists who investigate ideas about language, writing and text in their artworks. Some of these include Ian Hamilton Finlay, Susan Hiller, Yoko Ono and Joseph Kosuth.
The conversation will centre on artworks that I will provide to students prior to the lesson. If there are artworks that you would like to discuss, it will be great if you could also talk about them.
You do not need to have knowledge of these artists as your personal responses to the artworks will guide the conversation.
This lesson will be suitable for those who are at intermediate level and above.
