[1] Step 1 Preview: Before the lesson:

(Lesson Plan 1)

  • Self-study/preview one unit out of your 12 units in the book. 
  • You can also do the Mini-Test after each unit and check the answer key before our lesson to get the most out of it
  • Tell me before the lesson which Unit you chose

(Lesson Plan 2)

  • Self-study/preview one Practice Test from your book. 
  • Tell me before the lesson which Practice Test including Page numbers you chose 
  • Don't do the Speaking section - we will do this together
  • Score yourself for all sections completed (important)
  • We will do the Speaking section together in my class (10 minutes)

 

 

[2] Step 2 Practice and Produce - In the lesson: 

  • Quick self-introduction (if you wish)
  • Review 2 words (vocabulary items from your last lesson by defining them or making an example sentence)
  • Ask me questions in the lesson about points where you got stuck
  • Ask me how to use certain words if you are unsure

(Lesson Plan 1)

  • Let’s practice the parts you can’t do by yourself well without immediate feedback: Listening and speaking while timed
  • Let’s practice the listening parts together
  • Do you want to practice speaking? Then let’s practice reading speed, describing pictures etc while timing as we were in the real TOEIC test.
  • Do you want homework? If yes, I assign homework (Please understand that only if you book a next lesson with me I can check it. Alternatively I can assign the Mini-Test after each unit and you can check by yourself thanks to the answer key in the back of your book.)
  • Feedback on your lesson and quick summary, newly learned words
  • Customized study recommendations if applicable

(Lesson Plan 2)

  • Let's do the speaking section
  • Get customized feedback and study advice to work on the points we can improve

  • Get your lesson summary typed by me during the lesson via Google Drive
  • Review everything we have done in this lesson
  • Preview the next lesson
