The student will be able to identify the number name and symbol.The student will be able to pronounce and spell the number name.
Summary of lesson
Number recognition is the ability to recognize numbers by their names and the way they look. Not only that, but children will also learn how to write numbers and match them to their representative quantities
Number Recognition is where students learn how to recognize different numbers by their names, by the way that they look, and by matching them to their representative quantities. Students will also learn how to write numbers down in numerical form as well as in words.number recognition examples for your students to identify in real life such as Price tags,Phones,TV remotes,Cars,Traffic signs and Page numbers.
The tutor will esemble the word magnets to spell the number name and and put the number next to it.The tutor will say the number name aloud and the student will be repeat it after.
The tutor will use place value blocks to show student the value of each number for example 18 -eighteen =1 row of base ten blocks and eight individual blocks.
The tutor will explain an entire square is 100
10 rows of base ten blocks is equal to 100
1 row of base ten is 10 and an individual block is 1
Consolidation
The student will identify how many blocks or rows of base ten a numbers contains.
The tutor will show student a number and student must identify number.
