Kids Level 2: Basic Building Blocks Course

Build longer sentences and communicate with greater independence
Recommended Level & Age
Prerequisite: A trial lesson or completion of prior courses is strongly recommended.
Target: Elementary school Grade 3–6
Recommended level: Approximately EIKEN Grade 5–4 or equivalent
Students should already have basic phonics and reading skills and be able to understand and produce some simple English sentences.
Building on the Basics
Students expand their vocabulary while learning to ask and answer questions, describe everyday situations, and build increasingly accurate sentences.
Lessons combine grammar, reading, speaking, role-play, and practical communication. Students receive support at first, then gradually work toward producing more English independently.
What Students May Learn
- numbers, time, dates, and months
- weather and weather forecasts
- family, personality, and everyday descriptions
- rooms, furniture, and objects around us
- ability using can and can't
- making requests and asking for permission
- needs, wants, and everyday activities
- comparatives, superlatives, and other useful sentence patterns
Interactive & Structured Practice
Students use the language through visual activities, sentence-building tasks, games, roleplays, and guided conversation.
Previously learned vocabulary and grammar are regularly reviewed so that students can remember what they have learned and use it in new situations.
Students who have not completed the Starter Skills course are strongly encouraged to take a trial lesson first so that I can confirm that this level is appropriate.
