Let's chat about childhood, learning some phrasal verbs and expressions related to talking about when you were younger/ growing up.

This is a speaking lesson for intermediate to advanced students. In my conversation classes I always have a topic for discussion, incorporating the use of related grammar and expressions, so students will always revise something they already know and walk away with something new.
The lesson objective: student will be able to accurately use idioms, expressions and phrasal verbs related to talking about their childhood. Revising the past tense and using 'used to'.
There will be a warm up: Typically a game or a discussion to open the up the new topic. Presentation: Revise the structure of simple past tense. We look at phrasal verbs to help the student talk about their childhood with accompanying questions
Practice: We play an online board game with questions about 'used to'
