Learn vocabulary relating to the different kinds of people in your life ranging from close friends to strangers. Lean the definitions of words such as acquaintance and colleague and how to use them in your own sentences. 
Learn the kinds of questions people typically ask each other when they are getting to know each other and how to answer.
Improve critical thinking skills by answering questions about your friends and practice general pronunciation with a native English speaker.
Suitable for beginners to pre-intermediate level English students
This 45 minute lesson is part of my Everyday English series which focuses on social English. Each topic has four worksheets.
You will learn how to categorize the various people in your life and the differences between them. Is she a close friend or an acquaintance?
Worksheet One introduces new vocabulary used to describe people and the student is then required to match the word with the correct definition.
Worksheet Two is a conversation between two people who have just met. The student is required to write the missing questions based on the given answers.
Worksheet Three is a number of critical questions about the students friends which must be answered verbally.
Finally Worksheet Four introduces common idioms used in English that relate to chatting with friends. After learning their meaning the student is to complete sentences using one of the idioms.
