Japanese for Beginners｜Learn at Your Own Pace
If you’d like to learn Japanese from the basics, we’ll use learning materials to study hiragana, katakana, basic grammar, expressions, and more, one step at a time.
If you’re not sure where to start, that’s completely okay! You’re very welcome here.

・Those who prefer to learn slowly and at their own pace
⚫︎ About the Lesson
We’ll use learning materials to study hiragana, katakana, vocabulary, grammar, and basic expressions step by step.
Whether you’re completely new to Japanese or want to go back and review the basics, you’re very welcome!
If there’s something you don’t understand, please feel free to ask questions. We’ll take our time and move at a pace that works for you.
⚫︎Materials
I’ll use the learning materials in the lesson, so you don’t need to prepare anything special.
During the lesson, I’ll share the materials on screen and we’ll work through them together.
If you’d like to practice writing hiragana, katakana, or grammar, having a notebook and pen can be helpful.
⚫︎ Lesson Flow
① Quick review
We’ll briefly review vocabulary, expressions, or other things you learned in the previous lesson.
② Learn new things (vocabulary/ grammar / writing)
We’ll use the learning materials to study the day’s topic step by step.
③ Practice
You’ll practice using the vocabulary and grammar you’ve learned through simple exercises and conversation practice.
④ Questions & Review
We’ll go over anything you’re unsure about and make sure everything is clear before moving on.
※This is a general lesson flow, but we can adjust it based on your needs and preferences.
⚫︎ Camera
Your camera can be on or off — whichever makes you feel more comfortable.
※If you choose to keep your camera off, I will also keep mine off.
If you’d like to slow down, review something again, or spend more time practicing a particular topic, please feel free to let me know anytime.
