Objectives:
* To teach students new words and their meanings
* To have fun while learning
* To let students practice speaking English
* Teaching students how to think in English
* To set achievable learning goals for students
Methodology:
This lesson is based around the concept of a game where the student is given a mystery word in the form of blank spaces and he/she must try to guess what that word is.
Once the word has been guessed the student is then asked to put that word in a sentence.
There are a total of ten words and the student is allowed 15 guesses for each word.
Example: The mystery word is working
The student will see seven blank spaces - - - - - - -
The student guesses the letter I and will then see - - - - i - -
The student guesses the letter O and will then see - o - - i - -
The student guesses the letter G and will then see - o - - i - g
Once the word has been guessed the student must form an English sentence containing that word.
For example: Yoshi told me he hates working at the office because there is so much pressure.
The more times the student plays the game the harder the words get.
