Counseling: Traveling to Italy
Description
For people who want to enjoy parts of Italy that aren’t listed in guidebooks!
When I was living in Italy, a lot of my Japanese friends came to visit me.
When I asked them what they wanted to do, many of them answered the same way:
-Instead of GROM and Perche No and other things that are listed in guide books, I want to try the gelato that is popular with the locals
-I want to have a meal at a restaurant that has good reviews from the locals
-I want to go shopping somewhere that isn’t aimed at tourists
-I want you to take me somewhere that a tour wouldn’t take me
If you feel the same way, take this course and I’ll introduce you to an Italian experience that’s different from anything you’ve ever experienced before!
I have been based in Japan since the end of 2011, but even now I go to various cities in Italy for work about once every 2 to 3 months so I can give you season appropriate information.
I can help with the following:
-Getting around Italy by train (searching for train schedules and freight rates, etc.)
-Transportation within the city (Milan, Venice, Parma, Bologna, Florence, Rome)
-Recommended spots (Milan, Venice, Parma, Bologna, Florence, Pisa, Rome)
-Preparing for your trip (what to bring, information about phones and internet)
-Trip planning (recommended season, specialties of each city, how long to go for)
-How to choose your plane ticket, hotel, tour, etc.
