For Kids♪ Getting Familiar With English (15 min)
Description
This lesson is only open to students who haven’t begun elementary school yet.
This is the best lesson to get your children familiar with English before beginning conversation lessons.
I will help your child learn the rhythm of English through fairy tales and songs.
Please participate along with your child
(The child may attend class alone, but I do recommend doing it together)
Lesson Outline
After a simple self introduction, please choose between English songs or reading and listening.
If you choose songs, then we will take our time to sing and repeat one or two songs.
We will move our fingers and bodies as much as we can while singing.
I will try to choose songs that your children will not get tired of.
For reading and listening, I will choose fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers or Hans Christian Andersen that are also famous in Japan and that have easy to find Japanese versions. We will go at a relaxed pace and read and listen to English sentences only without translating them into Japanese. Depending on your child’s response, I may add in a little bit of supplementary comments in Japanese or respond in Japanese.
Present for Continuous Students
If you take 5 or more classes continuously, I will collect all the song lyrics and fairy tales we used in class, organize them into a PDF and send it to you as a present.
Ex. If you take 10 classes, I will send a sheet for lessons 1-5 after the 5th lesson, and a sheet for lessons 6-10 after the 10th lesson.
