Let's talk about video games!

Let's play a translation challenge! Japanese to English!

Detalles de la lección

Do you want to review your past grammar and vocabulary in a fun way? Are you a fan of Nintendo, Konami, or STEAM games?

Try the 20-minute Video Game Translation Challenge!

Here's how it works:

  1. I will show you a sentence in your native language (Japanese).
  2. You must say the translation to the sentence in English.
  3. I will mark your answer and show you all possible answers.

The questions will be matched to your level. Examples of various questions (in Japanese):

  • どう思いますか?(Basic)
  • 彼は午後5時半に仕事をが終わります。(Basic)
  • 毎月何回ぐらいあなたは映画へ行きますか。(Basic)
  • 彼は環境保護について演説をしまた。 (Intermediate)

This is a fun way to fix grammar errors and reinforce your vocabulary!

Why you should take this lesson multiple times?

  • If you miss a question, I will use the vocabulary or grammar point in a different sentence in future games.
  • For example, if you have the question: テレビをつけてくだ下さい。
And the first time you say "Please open the TV." (Turn on the TV.)
The next time, I will have another question using "turn on," like 明かりをつけていただけません?(Could you turn on the light(s)?)

The answers to the questions above:

  • どう思いますか?→ What do you think? (How do you think?)
  • 彼は午後5時半に仕事をが終わります。→ He gets off work at 5:30 pm.
  • 毎月何回ぐらいあなたは映画へ行きますか。→ How many times do you go to the movies each month?
  • 彼は環境保護について演説をしまた。 He gave a speech about environmental protection.
I hope this helps you in your career development.
