My name is Benedict Marshall.
I have a background in architecture, for which I gained a Degree at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and Diplomas in Architecture and Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University, both located in the United Kingdom where I am originally from. I have a passion for architecture, urban design, art, and sustainability.
Since 2012, I have been an instructor for a corporate English provider in and around central Tokyo, teaching company employees in a variety of sectors, ranging from elementary to upper intermediate levels.
Business skills covered includes the use of finance and sales acronyms, a business glossary of terminology, general and business conversation, emailing (formal and informal), idioms, the use of agendas and minutes in meetings, presentation making, role-plays, telephoning, video meetings, and vocabulary (British + American).
For teaching purposes, I employ a variety of materials that include business related textbooks, collections of newspaper and magazine articles, links to online news providers, and a collection of materials built up through my years of teaching practice.
Meanwhile, for those seeking work in an English-speaking environment, I am also able to offer 3 interview preparation sessions spoken in English in my lesson plan “Bespoke English lessons for interview preparation”.
