Hello! I'm Tess, a friendly and patient English tutor from the Philippines. I have a TEFL certification, and I love helping kids feel happy and confident when they use English.

What is English Play Time?

This is not a regular lesson. It's a relaxed and fun play time. Your child chooses what they want to do, and I keep them happy and busy the whole time.

Not sure what to pick? No problem! Tell me what your child loves, and I'll plan a fun day for them.

  • What your child will get

    • Lots of English speaking practice through play
    • More confidence, because I praise every try and never rush
    • Short activities, so they don't get tired or bored
    • A happy, safe time with a kind teacher

Need more time?

If you need longer than 2 hours, you can book another lesson right after this one. There is a 10-minute break in between for a snack, water, and a stretch. Please message me first so I can check my schedule.

Can I go out while my child is in the lesson?

Yes! Your child can play, sing, draw, and speak English with me while you take care of your own things. Since I'm online, I can't help in person. For young children, please stay at home in case they need the bathroom or any help. For older children who are comfortable alone, you can go out, but please stay reachable by phone or message and send me an emergency contact before the lesson.

Before the lesson, please

  • Send me a message about your child's favorite things (animals, characters, games, foods)
  • Prepare paper, crayons or markers, a snack, and a drink
  • Set up a tablet or computer with a good internet connection

English Play Timeとは?

普通のレッスンではありません。リラックスして楽しく過ごす、遊びの時間です。お子さまが「やりたいこと」を選び、私がその間ずっと、楽しく過ごせるようにサポートします。

何を選べばいいか分からなくても大丈夫です。お子さまの好きなことを教えてください。楽しい一日になるように、私が考えます。

お子さまが得られること

  • 遊びながら、たくさん英語を話す練習ができます
  • どんな挑戦もほめるので、自信がつきます
  • 短い活動で進めるので、疲れたり飽きたりしにくいです
  • やさしい先生と、安心して楽しい時間を過ごせます

もっと長い時間が必要ですか?

2時間より長く必要な場合は、このレッスンの直後に、続けてもう1つレッスンを予約してください。間に10分の休憩を入れます。おやつ、水分補給、ストレッチの時間です。予約する前に、まずメッセージをお送りください。スケジュールを確認します。

レッスン中に外出してもいいですか?

はい、大丈夫です!お子さまは私と一緒に、遊んだり、歌ったり、絵を描いたり、英語で話したりして過ごします。その間、保護者の方はご自分の用事をしてください。ただし、私はオンラインのため、そばで直接お手伝いすることはできません。小さなお子さまの場合は、トイレなどで助けが必要になることがあるので、ご自宅にいてください。ひとりで落ち着いて過ごせる年齢のお子さまの場合は、外出しても大丈夫です。その場合は、電話やメッセージですぐに連絡が取れるようにして、レッスンの前に緊急連絡先を教えてください。

レッスン前にお願いしたいこと

  • お子さまの好きなもの(動物、キャラクター、ゲーム、食べ物など)をメッセージで教えてください
  • 紙、クレヨンまたはペン、おやつ、飲み物を用意してください
  • タブレットまたはパソコンと、安定したインターネット環境を準備してください
