Learn key elements of writing grant proposals while developing your oral and written English skills in this 17-week series.

Detalles de la lección

This 17-week course uses the world of grant writing as a practical context for improving English writing and speaking skills. Designed for A2–B1 ESL learners, it focuses on professional communication, clarity, and confidence—not only on writing grants, but on learning English through guided, real-world examples.

Each week features two lessons: one 45-minute interactive lesson and one 45-minute speaking lesson (B), where you will:

  • Build professional vocabulary related to community projects, funding, and organizational work.
  • Strengthen grammar and writing skills through short, focused lessons on structures commonly used in proposals.
  • Practice speaking and pronunciation with role-plays, dialogues, and vocabulary-based discussions.
  • Complete guided whole-class writing tasks that apply new language to fictional project examples.
  • Engage in interactive activities that develop critical thinking, description, and clarity of expression.
You can take each course separately or immerse yourself in the 17-week program. Below are the interactive and speaking lessons:

1. What Is a Grant and Why Does It Matter?
2. Structure and Parts of a Proposal
3. Describing Community Needs
4. Writing the Problem Statement
