Bonus Functional Language Lesson: Asking for and Checking Information

This special class focuses on functional language—practical, ready-to-use English phrases that help you communicate clearly and confidently. Instead of heavy grammar or difficult vocabulary, you’ll learn natural set expressions that native speakers use every day and that you can start using immediately.

The main goal of this class is learning how to ask for information and check understanding, two essential skills for real conversations. While these phrases may seem simple, using them smoothly is a big step toward sounding natural and feeling confident when speaking with native English speakers.

The lesson begins with listening to short, natural conversations, followed by a clear breakdown of useful phrases taken directly from the audio. In the final part of the class, you’ll practice using these expressions yourself so you can apply them in real situations.

All expressions are organized into four easy-to-study categories: Asking for Information, Giving Information, Checking Understanding, and Checking Details. After the class, you’ll receive full study notes, including a PDF and audio file, so you can review and practice at home.

  • This is an A2+ or Lower Intermediate level class.
  • This is an optional lesson from Unit 1, so it can be taken at any time.
