Would you like to improve your English while discussing interesting topics?

This 30-minute lesson is for intermediate to advanced adult learners who enjoy learning through reading, conversation and discussion.

We’ll use a short English article as the starting point for the lesson. We’ll discuss the topic, explore your opinions and talk about the issues and ideas raised in the article.

As we work through the topic, I’ll help you understand useful vocabulary and expressions from the article and use them naturally in conversation. I’ll also help you improve your phrasing, correct important mistakes and support you with pronunciation where needed.

This lesson can help you:

• build your vocabulary through context
• practise expressing and explaining your opinions
• improve your speaking fluency
• understand useful words and expressions from real English texts
• develop your confidence discussing a wider range of topics
• improve important grammar and pronunciation naturally as we talk

Articles may cover topics such as lifestyle, travel, work, technology, culture, society and everyday life.

I’m a native British English teacher from the UK with a Level 5 TEFL qualification. My lessons are relaxed and supportive, with plenty of opportunity for you to speak and express your own ideas.

The article will be provided for the lesson, so you don't need to find your own material.
