Description

Can three photographs tell a story?

In this creative, one-to-one photography session, we’ll explore how a small group of photographs can work together to communicate an idea, feeling or story.

We’ll look at visual connections, composition, mood, colour and sequence, and experiment with how changing the order of photographs can change the way they are understood.

You can bring three or more photographs you have already taken, or we can create a simple photographic story together during the lesson.

The focus is on developing your visual storytelling rather than technical photography skills.

No previous photography experience is required. You’re very welcome to use your phone camera - there’s no need to own a film or digital camera to take part.

Before the lesson

Please have 3–5 photographs you have taken yourself ready to show on camera. They can be photographs from the same project or completely unrelated images.

If you don't have photographs ready, that's absolutely fine - we can create a simple three-image story during the lesson.
