The new version of Practical Audio-Visual Chinese has five volumes.
This material starts from the fundamentals, and is the most suitable material for learners who are not native speakers of Chinese.
The focus of these texts is conversation practice and basic pronunciation. This text includes both Zhuyin and Pinyin, so students can choose which one they prefer. This text enables students to reach their goal of being able to communicate fluently in their daily life. All of the vocabulary in the textbook contains example sentences.
The text teaches Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing. Furthermore, it teaches the common Chinese phrases used in daily life. Specifically, it consists of:
1. Text and Dialog
2. Vocabulary
3. Grammar points and sentence pattern exercises
4. Classroom activities
5. Short compositions
6. Comments
If you already have some familiarity with Chinese, I can help you start off from the right point. Books 1 & 2 are suitable for beginners, and books 3 & 4 are suitable for intermediate learners.
