Merry Christmas from Cameroon!

In this 25-minute lesson, I'll take you on a journey to Christmas in Cameroon, a bilingual country in Central Africa, while you practise your English in a relaxed and friendly way.

What we can talk about:

  • Christmas in the sunshine: celebrating in the warm dry season
  • Midnight Mass and church celebrations on Christmas Eve
  • Going back to the village to celebrate with the whole family
  • Festive food: ndolé, poulet DG, beignets and more
  • Music, dancing and celebrations with friends and neighbours
  • Holiday vocabulary and expressions, and how to write a Christmas message in English
  • Your own Christmas or New Year traditions: we compare our cultures!

Who is this lesson for?

All levels are welcome. Beginners will learn simple words and greetings; intermediate and advanced students will discuss and compare traditions.
