Hi there! I'm Lesia. Whether your child is just starting their English journey or is a bilingual speaker who needs help turning their speaking skills into reading skills, this assessment is the perfect first step.

What happens in this 20-minute session? In this friendly, low-pressure "check-up," I will evaluate your child's:

  • Letter-Sound Recognition: Do they know their phonics sounds?

  • Blending Skills: Can they put sounds together to read words (CVC)?

  • Fluency: How smoothly can they read a short passage?

  • Confidence: I focus on making reading feel like a fun puzzle, not a chore!

Who is this for?

  • Bicultural & Heritage Learners: Students who are comfortable speaking English but need a structured approach to reading and spelling.
  • Returnees: Children looking to keep their English literacy at a native grade level while living in Japan.
  • English Language Learners: Students ready to move past the basics and start their reading journey.
Parents: You will receive a brief follow-up message with my recommended "Learning Path" for your child.
