Detalles de la lección

Do you enjoy watching Youtube? TED talks? Movies and TV series? In this lesson, you can study English and practice writing and listening by watching intriguing videos clips of all types.

Watching online videos in another language can be quite difficult for language students. Usually, videos are not made for language learners. They are made for native speakers who understand the language perfectly. The people in these videos speak very fast, have strong regional accents, and use idioms and expressions that are very difficult to understand. However, the more you practice watching these kinds of videos, the better you will understand a variety of expressions and accents.

In this lesson, I will send you a video before class. I would like you to watch it several times and then write a short summary (400 words or less) about the video. You may have trouble understanding accents, speaking speed, and vocabulary, but try to understand the *main idea*. We will correct your summary together in class. Then afterward, we will discuss ideas from the video and talk about new vocabulary and expressions that you heard.

Great for Intermediate and Advanced students!

***NOTE: In this lesson, I provide plenty of *detailed notes and corrections* in a shared Google Document.
