　 I don't understand what's going on during my English classes.

  You may feel like this because you don't understand grammar.

　Grammar is fundamental for language study. If you avoid grammar, you can never learn a language.

In order to learn that grammar, you will first need to understand the parts of speech (nouns, verbs, prepositions, etc). After you understand the parts of speech, everything will fall into place. English is very consistent and logical in this way.
 
　　　If you understand English grammar, your grades in school,              and your reading and speaking skills will improve.
