In this lesson, the student will read a news article before class and then we will discuss it. I will help students with new words and ideas that they don't understand. This is a great class to learn about something new, keep on top of current events around the world, learn new English words, practice your reading and discussion skills. Students should be prepared to answer questions both about the article and your opinion of the topic and content.
This lesson is good for students who want to learn business English, are studying for tests or presentations, or students who want to discuss current topics in English. This lesson is for beginners to advanced students.
This class focuses on reading and thinking critically in English, but also practices vocabulary building, listening, pronunciation and speaking.
*Because we (both student and teacher) need to find and read an article for this lesson, in order to make sure both of us have enough time, please try to book lessons at least 24 hours in advance. Regular students may book on slightly shorter notice but it's still encouraged to give yourself 24 hours to prepare.
