Describe amazing images from around the world in English! *Detailed Notes and Corrections* provided

Detalles de la lección

When speaking a foreign language, accurate description is a very important skill to have, whether you're describing a person, telling a story, giving directions, explaining a situation, discussing a work of art, or even telling about your feelings. It's a very important element in communicating effectively in English. The more you practice, the more precise your description will become.

So let's describe! In this 25-minute lesson, I will bring interesting, thought-provoking* images to class and send them to you via Skype. You will describe it in your own words as best you can, and I'll type what you say. Then we will go over your text together. We will fix grammar or syntax* errors and, most importantly, talk about word choice and natural expression... For example, maybe another adjective would have worked better in place of the one you used. Or maybe a sentence will be grammatically correct, but it doesn't sound natural to a native speaker. These are just a few examples of things we will improve in your description skills.

I hope to see you in class!

Great for all levels!

*Thought-provoking = making a person think more deeply about something
*Syntax = Sentence structure and word order.

***NOTE: In this lesson, I provide plenty of *detailed notes and corrections*!
