There was an episode like this. A novel by Shusaku Endo was once used as an exam question.
Among the questions was "Which of A, B, C, or D represents the author's true feelings?" Endo was interested in the test, so when he answered it, he was surprised to find that A, B, C, and D were all correct. Then he complained, "Since this is a test, is it correct to use the examiner's answer instead of the author's answer?"
