Thank you for coming to look at my profile, everything is going to be alright. You made the right choice.
There are a lot of good things in the world:
- Cakes
- animals
- rainbows
- fried chicken
- recorded musical performances
- famous figures from historical stories
- unexplainable mood swings
- sporting rivalries between local teams
- smooth pieces of metal
- the perfume of ice on a hot summer afternoon
- waking up on your day off with nothing planned
But a perfect world would lead us all to insanity so there are also bad things to provide balance to our existence:
I am Arthur.
- a cockroach in your shoes
- strong winds throwing sand in your eyes
- traffic lights that turn red whenever you approach them
- the sound of a bicycle that hasn't been oiled
- waking up on Monday morning with a hangover
I am a man.

- Born in Northern England 1978 (Scunthorpe)
- University in London 1997-2000 (major English Language)
- Chef in London and Australia 2000-2005 (French & British cuisine)
- English teacher in South Korea 2005-2007 (High School)
- Chef in Buckingham Palace, London and Lincoln 2008-2013 (palaces, hotels and restaurants)
- English teacher in Japan 2013-2017 (elementary school)
- Izakaya master in Japan 2017-2020 (self-emplyment is brilliant!)
- Closed izakaya because of Corona and waiting until its safe to open a new izakaya
- part-time assistant tree surgeon and online tutor 2020-now
