Hi, I'm Tomoya! Here is my brief self-introduction!


My background

✔Born and raised in Chiba (next to Tokyo)

✔Went to a university in Tokyo, majored global politics. Visited many countries such as UK, Myanmar and so on.

✔Did accounting at a Japanese energy company for 3 years.

✔Studied abroad in Vancouver, Canada. Got a diploma of international business management there.

✔Did sales at a Japanese trading company for 1 year.

✔Got a certificate for teaching Japanese while teaching English to Japanese students.


Like

✔Watching movies (US movies, UK movies, Ghibli films)

✔Watching rugby games

✔Exercise

✔Traveling (Visited UK, Taiwan, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Canada)

I also have read a lot of Manga such as NARUTO, Dragon Ball and so on.


Dislike

✔Natto (Japanese food)

✔Japanese so crowded trains


As a tutor...
✔Passed "Japanese language teaching competency test".

✔ Have 1 year teaching experience (English to Japanese students)

✔ Know how to teach and how to make a study-plan effectively because of the experience.


What defines my lesson...

✔Teach the beginners (of course including 0 level)

✔Use a famous grammar textbook, GENKI. GENKI consists of 2 books, you can reach JLPT N5 level when finishing 1 and JLPT N4level when finishing 2.

✔Practice speaking and listening as well as learning grammar.

✔Use English (I studied abroad in Canada, I speak English).

※ I'm not using other textbooks now, sorry.

※You don't have to have GENKI in the trial lesson, I can share the screen of my digital textbook.


My strengths...

✔Speak with a typical Tokyo accent.

✔Use proper Japanese (Worked as an office worker for 4 years).

✔Encourage learners to talk.
